Different owl colours

I have completed a custom order owl knob order for etsy in different colours and they look so fresh and vibrant.

Also thank you all for the kind comments, I am feeling rather grotty at the moment (chest infection) and it was so lovely to log in and and have that super surprise :)

Humm varnishing

I love painting my door knobs but I really don't enjoy the varnishing bit, it tends to get your fingers all sticky and the knobs are really hard to put down again once all wet.

What I do find useful for this task is my trusty non stick mat.  I am sure that you all have one as they are widely sold for paper crafting (blending alcohol inks) and the like.  But they are great for painting on as then you don't get knobs stuck to your work surface, and that simply wouldn't do, hee hee.

I am going to link to to Handmade Monday for the fist time, hope this works, lol.

Sold Owls

This morning I woke up to see that I had sold 5 owl knobs to someone in the USA, so that will be a perfect opportunity for me to re photograph them.  I have also seen some lovely clip art which I intend to purchase so that I can get some new designs.

Re photographed knobs

These are my jungle knobs.  This is the second photo I have taken having sold a few sets.  I recently had to change to larger knobs (now 35mm) and they look soooo much better, esp now I have had lots more practice.  So I updated my listings with the new photos in the hope of attracting some more sales as it has been very slow after the initial flurry of orders.

I think I need to re-do them all now.  But.... I have seen come cool new designs I want to try first.

Sea Creature Knobs

These knobs have sold the best so far and were the first ones I painted. They do however take the longest to do since they use so many colours.  I think I like the turtle best.
